One of the best known applications in the DJing world is DSS, also known as Discotheque Sound System, because it includes all the necessary elements to be able to make our own professional mixes, but without having to learn to use complex software.

  The application has two playback decks that are compatible with various of the most popular digital audio formats (MP3, M4A, MP4, WAV, OGG or CDA, among others), includes 8 CUE points, control with scratch or search mode depending on the style of music we want to mix, native DSP effects with the possibility to include VST or DirectX through plugins and a beat grid to assure perfect song synchronization.

  What's more DSS offers us compatibility with the standar controllers, allowing us to use any MIDI device to take control of the application, oversampling options to improve the sound of each song during playback and support for audio interfaces with ASIO or WDM drivers, so any soundcard will be compatible with this tool.
